I had a forehead injury during my childhood which left a scar at the centre of my forehead. The scar measures about 10 to 12 mm length and 1 or 2 mm width and 1 to 1.5 mm depth. Due to the position of the scar, it has been a spot of bother to face the society in professional and personal life, resulting in low in confidence. I have been trying to cover the scar by combing my hair forward which sometimes look awkward. I consulted a few doctors in Bangalore, Delhi and also in Pune (currently working), but without any positive solution / assurance, as the scar is very old. At this juncture, a few months back, I come across Dr Nitika Wagh, a reputed Dermatologist with good experience through Google search. She listened to my problem very patiently and understood the concern even though it looks silly. Initially, she advised me to go for a CO2 laser treatment for at least 5 sessions to have good results. I went ahead with the treatment, but after three sessions, the doctor reviewed the progress and decided to go for a small procedure (not sure what She has done) under local LA and put sutures. I had a consult and doctor explained to me that laser surgery was needed for 5000 rs. So I agreed to it. The numbing cream was applied. When the procedure started it was still paining a lot, so much that I had to bite down on my wrist to ease it but doctor did not care to give me injection to ease it. She also used electrocautery instead of laser. i know the difference but it did not strike me that she used a different machine till I went back home. After the procedure I was just given a page of medicines by the nurse and no instructions how to take it or no after care was explained. Will never go back again!
