Another corporate doctor in business of minting money! My wife had Covid on 5th May and she was prescribed paracetamol and Azithromycin by local a physician. And she stayed home in isolation. We did not bother to go to hospital because she did not have any serious symptoms. After a week she got rid of all the symptoms but now she has been experiencing some anxiety and sleeplessness etc. So we decided to visit a physician to consult and to find whats happening now. And we visited this Dr. Bhattacharjee S at Apollo hospital Secunderabad. Doctor checked BP and oxygen level(98%) etc. And then he asked what all medicine did she take. When we said that a local physician prescribed paracetamol and Azithromycin, he said how come the other only prescribed only 2 medicines and no other medicines/testing prescribed & blah blah.... And then he prescribed Paracetamol, Doxycycline, Ivermectin, 2 vitamins, Zinc & all + 5/6 testing(HRCT & bunch of other tests) that would cost Rs13,200(checked on diagnostic billing counter at Apollo). Now you see, we went there for a post covid anxiety and discomfort and this doctor prescribed all that he could. My question is if some doctor who claims to have 38 yrs of experience cant treat a patient complaining of anxiety with anything simpler than this then what kinda experience he has..... Now I have watched a lecture of Dr. Rajeev Jayadevan on post covid lecture & found that those symptoms are just post covid symptoms and those medicine/testing were absolutely not required..... In this Pandemic these kinda doctors are prescribing medicines & testing with no justification or need at all. They just want you to spend as much as possible at their hospitals.... Shameful.
