My Family member recently underwent laser treatment for Pyrogenic Granuloma / Benign Cyst with Dr. Surajit Gorai, We were worried before visiting the doctor and were concerned about the correct diagnosis and treatment. We are extremely pleased with the results. From the very beginning, Dr. Gorai was thorough in explaining the procedure of this Laser treatment, the expected outcomes, and addressing any concerns we had. He is very polite in nature. The clinic had a warm and professional atmosphere, which made me feel at ease. The laser treatment itself was relatively quick and very less painful. Doctor took great care in ensuring tjat pateint comfort throughout the process, and the procedure was completed efficiently. Aftercare instructions were clear, and the recovery was much smoother than I anticipated. He said we are on the right path and can expect full recovery. Very happy with the results, and would highly recommend Dr. Gorai to anyone seeking effective care.

Dr. Surajit Gorai is an exceptional dermatologist of Apollo Hospital, at EM Bypass who truly cares about their patients. First time I've visited him for skin disease on 20/4/2024, his expertise and attention to detail during the diagnosis process was unparalleled. He took the time to listen to my issues and advised me according to my specific needs. Thanks to Dr. Surajit Gorai. I finally have my skin completely cured.

I went to Dr. Surjit Gogai with my brother for skin problem but I think better not to go to this kind of doctor as he doesn't see well and doesn't talk to patient properly after charging apartment fee. When I went to him after sitting for 2 hours, he gave me only a minute and gave me a prescription without listening to me. I understand that going to him is a waste of money

He is a dermatologist who doesn't prescribe everything all at once. I visited him for my hair and acne problems, and I wanted to ask him to prescribe some good hair and skin-related medicines/products, but he clearly refused. He gave me a hair-related product that was provided to him by a representative, but it was a complete waste of time and money because it didn’t solve my problems; instead, it made them worse. He also refused to prescribe more than ten medicines. When I asked him to write a prescription for a hair cleanser and face wash, he declined. Please think twice before visiting. Let me know if you'd like any further adjustments!

Appointment date 25/01/25 I was not satisfied with Dr. Surajit Gorai I paid his appointment fee 1900 and he gave me prescription in just 50 seconds without listening to all my words and I didn't even tell him all my problems in that time I thought he was charging so much. Either the patient should be seen well

I visited this dermatologist for skin issues over a span of six months and spent nearly 1.5 lakh rupees on treatments and medications. Unfortunately, my skin issue remains unresolved, and I am now facing additional health problems due to the prescribed treatments. I feel that the focus was more on expensive procedures rather than providing an effective solution to my problem. I am disappointed with the lack of results and would not recommend the doctor to others based on my experience.

I went to this dr for my itching issue on skin. The doctor made me wait for long 1-2 hours. When he came back , he hardly took 2 mins to see my problem and wrote a prescription. I mean he charged 1400 + 300 registration fees. Not even seen my problem more than 5 mins. How ridiculous the process and himself . I would suggest, verify a doctor properly then go for a visit. Totally waste of money.

Most unprofessional Doctor I have seen . His secretary gave me time to meet at 5pm after I confirmed with her thrice . I was made to wait for 1 and half hour after which her secretary said he will be late by more 1/2 hr and I can cancel my Appointment if I am in hurry. She at the least should have informed me that the doctor will be late . Waste of time !!!

Harsh behaviour. Doesn't know how to behave with a patient properly. He may be a renowned doctor that doesn't mean he will behave in an ill mannered way. He isn't doing favour on anyone. He is just doing his job which we consider as a noble job. Being a good human being should be the first priority, then a good doctor. Our experience was horrible.

Extremely poor experience. For one month I tried the shampoo he gave. It increased my hairfall a lot. Actually he diagnosed it wrong. Ultimately it got resolved by God's grace when I visited Kaushik Lahiri last week.

Please let me know 300 rupees for registration do have any justification, 1400 fees which one can understand and ok with it but 300 registration and overall visit cost 1700.

Skills can be learnt but behaviour and empathy towards a patient and their family cannot be taught, specially to ill behaving people like Dr Surajit Gorai MD DNB MNAMS Dermatology ! I had one of the worst experiences of my life while consulting with Dr. Surajit Gorai. He is not only rude but lacks the bare minimum decency and politeness that you expect from any human being, let alone a doctor. I visited his clinic ( Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals - Kolkata ) for a follow up session with my eight year old daughter with a biopsy report in one hand and a bandage stuck to my daughter's feet for the last 5 days. I came to the clinic exactly as per my appointment and waited for over 2 hours, inquiring a few times about the doctor's availability for him to just check the report. I was greeted rudely everytime I approached to ask for a time for my turn and finally the doctor (I doubt) barked back that I will have to keep waiting with my eight year old daughter indefinitely and if I can't do that, I will have to come back another day. I was absolutely stunned at his behaviour and absolute lackadaisical attitude towards an eight year old patient. This was when all other patients who were waiting had their turns and I was still waiting for my turn. When I approached him, I found him chitchatting on a video call. I demanded that his video call can wait for 5 minutes which is much more time than what he actually took to finally review the report. He never explained what was there in that report. He suggested me to "look up for the term on the internet" and "educate" myself about the issue. Then he hurriedly prescribed a steroid to be used for a month which is strictly suggested to be used not more than 5 days at a stretch for children. He never even mentioned to me how I should administer the medicine and whether or not I should maintain any guidelines to use it. It just seemed that he wanted me and my daughter to move out of his chamber so that he can resume his video conference. I repent my consultation session with such a person who defames such a noble profession just by practising it. Anyone considering consulting Dr. Surajit Gorai - Dermatology should look for alternatives or be prepared to be treated like worthless human beings who should be grateful to wait for five hours to get a three minutes consultation with him, which possibly will result in an unthoughtful prescription and medications. Also, someone should share with him a course link on empathy and politeness. #drsurajitgorai #dermatologist #apollogleneagleshospital PS: I'm not being able to add a reply to the doctor's response in this feed, hence I'm adding my comment here. Let me put the concern back to perspective since you are trying to blatantly justify a situation which you could and should have managed much better. 1. I made no offensive, rude or bad behaviour towards your secretary or you. CCTV footages hold evidence. 2. No one mentioned about your prolonged unavailability. Your secretary confirmed we needed to wait just 5-10 minutes. I reached on time as scheduled and the 10 minutes soon became 20, 20 became 40, 40 became an hour and an hour became 1.5 hours. 3. I have no interest in your routine. It was neither a free consultation nor an adult waiting in queue for your appointment. We are talking about a kid here. 4. You've mentioned in your comment that what my daughter has is a "rare skin problem". When your patient has a rare problem, do you not even give the effort to educate them about the problem, the possible causes, precautions to follow, etc? Do you really ask your patients to "search it on the internet"? A courteous heads-up of a relevant waiting time and explaining to the family member of a patient about the disease and possible cures - is this too much of an ask from a doctor? You suggested to 'search it on the internet' I just wish to make those people aware who will 'search you on the internet' about the treatment and behaviour that they can expect while consulting you.

Never seen a doctor more obsessed with google reviews over actually treating his patients. Have a look at the number of times he has replied to the reviews here - often whining over a 4-star review instead of his much-craved 5. No wonder his efforts have borne fruit - search for “best dermatologist in Kolkata” and his name pops up at the very top. I won’t go on about how he is as a doctor or the quality of his diagnosis/treatment. I have had just 1 visit at Apollo and do not feel confident at all about how he goes on about his business. His visits last about 5-10 mins per patient on the avergage. He has one of his assistants stationed just outside his chamber - very easy to mistake for just another patient waiting in line. As soon as you step out of his chamber, get ready to be ambushed by his assistant fully determined to get a 5-star review out of your google account. And if you are a bit tech-shy, no need to worry as the man himself will do the honors on your behalf, showering some template words of praise for the doctor’s abilities. I, for one, however, proved to be a tough customer not willing to review the doctor’s diagnosis straight out of a 5-min visit. And I believe any sane patient would also be willing to see some results of his diagnosis before putting in a good/bad review online that actually might have a considerable impact on his practice (given how much it relies on his online presence over word-of-mouth). To the assistant’s credit, he was quite persuasive and did try to hijack my phone once or twice. But I’m sure he’s much more successful with other patients who probably don’t care as much. While I hope many will or would have benefitted from his treatments, I, for one, can never trust such a business-minded doctor.

Kept me on wait for 20 minutes on online consultation and call lasted for barely 3 minutes. Didn't even asked if I have any more problems even when I told him about my issues. When I said I used steroid creams before he straight away jumped into therapy things and didn't even think of suggesting any medicine or cream to help treating my issues which is only pigmentation. Prescribed me acne cream which is not really my condition and received the prescription when I raised the ticket at night in the Apollo 24/7 app whereas consultation has been completed at 3.30 PM and as per Apollo 24/7 app patients usually gets prescription within 1 hour of consultation. Not a good experience first time.

Terrible experience with the doctor. He is of the mindset of making money only. He doesn't know anything about allergies. Before consulting him, I enquired if he can treat children and the secretary responded in affirmation but to no avail. The secretary keeps telling to visit again and to pay for the second visit when he can tell the results online as well.
