Desmoderm - Skin, Laser & Hair Care Clinic - Dr Ranjan Upadhyay

I recently visited Desmoderm and was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Ranjan Upadhyay. His professionalism, patience, and expertise are truly commendable. He was especially wonderful with my young child, making him feel comfortable and relaxed during the consultation. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines such exceptional medical knowledge with genuine care and friendliness. However, my experience with the clinic staff, particularly the receptionist (her name might be Deepti or something similar), was absolutely appalling. While I understand she has a demanding job managing multiple patients, her tone and manner of speaking were shockingly unprofessional and downright rude. I’ve never encountered or even heard of someone being yelled at for no reason, yet that’s exactly what happened. The thought of my next follow-up appointment fills me with dread—not because of the excellent care provided by Dr. Upadhyay but because of the possibility of missing her call due to a meeting or some unavoidable reason, only to face her wrath again. It’s a sad and stressful situation. It’s truly disheartening to consider not returning to such an exceptional doctor purely because of the ill-mannered staff. I sincerely hope the clinic management takes immediate steps to address this issue, as it severely detracts from the otherwise stellar care provided by Dr. Upadhyay. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism at every step of their journey.

Dr Ranjan Upadhyay is an excellent dermatologist with a very approachable and pleasant demeanour. He is a very nice person who is great at his job. My daughter, her cousins and our friends all go to him and each one is very pleased with how effective his treatments are. I highly recommend him as a dermatologist.

The procedure itself was quick, and although there was some discomfort, Dr. Ranjan Upadhyay made sure I was comfortable throughout. Dr. Ranjan has been of a great help to me in terms of my skin. His Knowledge towards this field is just beyond words. Pros: I am posting this about four years post my treatment at Max from Dr. Ranjan Upadhyay. I had severe cystic acne and his treatment cleared it up within six months effectively. But the reason I'm writing this review is because I've heard a lot of people come back from their dermos under-prepared or confused about the treatment of cystic acne and I'm glad that in the first appointment itself, he spent a very long time explaining how cystic acne forms and what the combination of his medicines is going to do. He also prepared me before hand for all the purging and shedding that occurs in the adjustment phase and I've only now realized that a lot of agony I've seen other people face is from the lack of transparency from their dermos. Overall i only needed two appointments to clear up my entire face of painful and inflamed acne. Also the medicines he gave are an effective long term skincare as well and I've never faced any other facial issues since then. Cons: Though i wouldn't expect this treatment at cheaper hospitals, it is worth mentioning that the entire process was very costly and may not be affordable by most people. Personally, i found the investment worth it but it's upto each individual to decide that.

Went to clinic for a Hair Loss problem based on the feedback from one of the trusted family doctors. Appointment booking process was super quick over a call with staff. Staff was very disciplined with respect to appointments and priortized my visit over the walk in patients Dr Rajan was quite humble and polite and had immense knowledge about the problem area. We discussed the hair loss problem in detail and he provided all possible surgical & non surgical options with complete pros and cons, duration, coverage, cost etc. One of the staff members remains in constant touch with you on whatsapp/calls in case you want to setup follow ups or discuss any doubts. Additionally all prescribed oitments and medicines are available in the clinic itself for separate purchase. NOTE : neither doctor and staff forces you to purchase anything from the clinic. The same can be purchased from other pharmacy based on patients requirements.

I went to the doctor regarding my Skin issue and the doctor prescribed a easy medication and I got Faster results. The staff was so polite and helpful. I would love to refer everyone who has skin or hair issue.

I had a very good experience here this morning. Went to remove multiple skin tags - almost 40 in sensitive areas and was apprehensive initially. The Doctor was pleasant, down to earth and very good at his job with a very light touch. Ended up being a painless, smooth procedure. Good ambience in the clinic and professional staff. Overall I’m very satisfied and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF !!!!!!! I live abroad and i was just looking for an online appointment as i got a reference of one of my friends . Tried for video call appointment on 30/aug/2022 and luckily i secured one for 11AM 31/Aug/2022 through the receptionist girl. So I rang on the appointment time and lady informed me doctor is busy we will connect you in 30 minutes but i received no call. Then i rang again to ask what went wrong, and i got the reply that doctor has said that first i will have to share my head pics on the receptionist number. Well i shared that as well. Even after that i didn't received any call. So i finally rang 2 more times but no one answered and on 3rd attempt i rang them and the receptionist lady picked up and i informed her that i have been waiting to get connected to the doctor just for an appointment and waiting since last 4 hours even after having an appointment, she said doctor is going to MAX HOSPITAL now and i asked what about my appointment then she literally laughed at me on the phone and i guess the phone was on speaker and i heard some other girl was also laughing in the background as the girl talking to me was telling everything to the girl behind her. I just wanted a hair fall treatment and that's it. But honestly this was not a good experience. Every person suffering from hair loss is already in problem and please understand no one deserves this kind of behaviour. I would like to add that i have heard good's about the doctor and i would like to talk to him if possible but would not like to be treated like this by anyone.

BIG NO FOR DR. RANJAN UPADHYAY i've visited clinic last week for my skin allergy treatment, doctor gave me 6-7 medicines for a small allergy which was fine none was effective and i'm still not well, even made it worse as he gave me wrong medicines and now i'm searching for another doctor who can help me to recover now. i would not recommend this doctor to anyone as he is only interested in commercial, staff also not professional and do not even have proper knowledge of medicines. way too expensive and not at all worth spending money and time, please avoid going to him as he is simply commercial.

Just wanna share my experience.. I have pigmentation I'm my face and I book an appointment at Dr. Ranjan Uppadhyay clinic and spent around 25K in a treatment course of 3 month. He is very good at talking an feel you that he do understand you and will surely help you toget rid of it. But the thing after completing course I am at the same stage I was before 3 month then I asked Dr in between why is it so he replied that with stating it will take more time to get reduce. Sometime he say it is because of hormones problem and on my other visit he said that are because of bad life style and an un-appropriate food. And last visit he sai that it get never ended he can only make the pigmentation light but can get them rid from my face and suggest for lesser surgery I denied to do that As I got understand that is also not gonna help me from his hand. I don't think he really has a treatment of it and request you don't waste your hard earned money and valuable time at him... As there is no option upload the pics of the medicine and prescription otherwise I could do that as well. Please do believe and go through with the Google reviews as all the good reviews are paid and uploaded by their staff only ...
