I first consulted Dr. Debraj Jash in 2023 for my father, who had a family history of lung diseases and was facing respiratory issues. Dr. Jash stood out immediately with his dedication and thorough approach. He took at least 30 minutes to listen to my father's complete medical history, including past challenges, and discussed preventive measures in detail. What impressed me most was his patient-centered care. From the beginning, he prescribed minimal medication, focusing on a holistic approach to manage my father's condition. He even took the time to show my father how to properly use an inhaler, which reflected his genuine concern. Dr. Jash also recommended yearly preventive vaccines and assured us that if my father’s condition improved, he would adjust the medication accordingly. Dr. Jash’s humble and caring nature, combined with his expertise, made a significant positive impact. We are grateful for his thoughtful consultations. Highly recommended!

I really don’t know which way we will express our gratitude to Dr. Debraj Jash , since whatever I try to write here, perhaps that would be too less for him! My aunt, who is also a second mother to me, an acute COPD patient was admitted under him five times in last one and half year in a serious condition and every time I believe , we got her back to life because of his extremely caring and very much sincere treatment along with his great expertise! In every course of admission of the patient under him. we have seen, he/his team doctors visit the patient twice a day and also a couple more times whenever necessary, visit even on Sundays, check each and every necessary aspect of the patient in depth which leads to right diagnosis in right time. Dr. Jash and his team , day and night, always remain well aware of the patient’s present condition, working quite actively all the time, and for their proper and timely treatment, I believe, the patient recovered quite fast, every time! What I really found, a greatly caring and extremely responsible attitude of him, has happened last time, when my aunt, as the consequence of breathing difficulty, developed another very serious, life-threatening problem (not pulmonological) during one late evening, which needs to be treated immediately. Surprisingly, Dr. Jash and his team doctors even managed to arrange the right treatment for the patient at the right moment to save her life, where the respective expert doctor could visit the patient next morning only ! So, admitting our patient under him, we feel quite relaxed that he will take every needful step to save the patient’s life, the best a doctor can do for his/her patient, whether it’s a purely pulmonological problem or any other serious non-pulmonological problem developed as a consequence of the pulmonological one! Also, coming to the issue of his great concern for the patient’s family member when their patient is in a critical phase, I have seen, Dr. Jash use to mentally energize us, help us to think in a optimistic way and always available to us in person/ over the phone for the necessary discussion about the patient’s condition! What wonders me about him, is, his deep love and devotion for his own profession and for his patients, which is reflected in his deep sense of responsibility and the concern, he always shows to the patients, who are under his treatment! In this regard, I recall, a few months back, when my aunt became quite ill in the home, in the evening, I whatsapped and also called him thrice within 12 hrs , around night 9.00 p.m, 1.00 a.m and morning 5.30 a.m and every time he responded us with equal sincerity, without slightest annoyance, when last time he advised us to move to the hospital emergency! Another thing is, since currently he is attached to more than one hospitals, when I am taking the patient to his OPD, may be late on the way (since taking a aged, seriously ill person is always a cumbersome work) so that his scheduled OPD time in the respective hospital is about to over, I use to request Dr. Jash if he can kindly wait till the patient reach, he always responds very much positively, irrespective of the matter that how much strict appointment he is having elsewhere! I believe, this kind of “patient first” attitude, from one of the busiest doctor like him is really remarkable! Even we have good experiences in his in OPD! He always answers all our queries and never in a hurry for the next patient! Also he thinks about complete welfare of the patient, not only pulmonological issues! Sometimes, we were extremely benefited from some of his valuable advices regarding some non-pulmonological health issues of the patient! My heartfelt thanks to you Dr, Jash, for everything! Sir, wish all the very best for your future career! May you appear as a blessing to more and more serious patient like my aunt, so that, when they are in their critical phase. your treatment can give them a new hope for life!

An extremely, and I emphasise, extremely bad experience. We had to shift my grandmother away from Medica due to him. Eventually she passed away due to his faulty treatment. He wanted to prolong the treatment and hence didn’t treat the root problem. Furthermore, zero etiquette and empathy. Shouted on my aunt in front of my ailing grandmother right inside the RICU, which had an extremely bad impression on her already deteriorated mental health. All I can say is he’s a devil in the garb of a doctor; be extremely careful if you’re trusting a loved one under him. We lost a loved one, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

I had a horrible experience with him at Medica Super Speciality Hospital. Not only was there mistreatment, but his behavior was absolutely horrible and unprofessional. He shouted at the patient's family for simply asking about basic treatment procedures. He had no sense of place or time, as he deemed it appropriate to act this way in the RICU, in front of the patient. Obtaining a degree and becoming someone eligible to prescribe medicines is one thing, but being a compassionate and humane doctor is entirely different. I would not recommend anyone to seek treatment from him.

*I regret to inform you that I have canceled your appointment.* *Your assistant's behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional*. They lack basic courtesy and the ability to communicate properly with customers. We have been your loyal patients since your time at Apollo Hospital. Now that you have shifted to Manipal Hospital, Salt Lake (formerly known as AMRI Salt Lake), I was unaware of the change. I asked twice for clarification regarding my confusion, but it seems it was too much trouble for the assistant to spare five seconds to explain the location and guide me about the hospital's name change. Thank you, and I wish you all the best for your future. However, your assistant's rudeness and arrogance are unacceptable and do not reflect well on your practice.

A doctor putting morality to its shame ! In my experience, his hobby is to completely ignore a patient's financial situation (no matter how many times he's told about that) and keep extorting money by creating excuses for unnecessary hospital stays. Perhaps, he intends to surpass his 'target' by a gigantic length. Make no mistake about what I said as I saw most of his patients were compelled to end hospital stay midway when their monetary limit is exhausted or they see no improvement or feel they have no more reason to extend their hospital stay. The longer his so-called treatment runs, the less he becomes available for the patient and the family, forcing them to discontinue hospitalization exercising the rights. This sometimes can put them into more traumatic situation as they can't really understand how far has the actual disease been treated. His line of approach is not any better than a phlebotomist or a biology student. Also, he's not professional enough to provide clear instructions for the discharge cases that happens against his will (which mostly happens). Please steer clear of this doctor, even during emergecies. Save your money and your loved ones. Why on earth Google doesn't have option to select negative rating ! Fun fact - He is online on WhatsApp every 5 mins but doesn't reply to even 1% of the messages, especially when it gets uncomfortable for him.

Dr. Jash is a highly manipulative and money-minded doctor. In his OPD, he acts like your closest friend or family member, but by the end of the consultation, he degrades patients' families as though they are mere servants. He often persuades patients to move from his OPD to a hospital bed, even if they are otherwise healthy, all for his own commission. If you hold mediclaim, things get worse—no one, not even God, can save you. He will push you through a terrifying journey of ICU, ventilation, and unnecessary procedures like multiple bronchoscopies ( when patient already in Ventilation), all while you're already in a critical condition. And don’t even get started on the exorbitant costs of medicines. Beware of his trap; I have already lost someone very dear to me and I don't want anyone else to experience that same pain. Be cautious of fake ratings too, as money can now buy high ratings on Google and social media.

Worst doctor ever. My husband got admitted at Manipal hospital under dr Debraj josh on 7 th sep 2024. He was diagnoses with severe chest pain and shortness of breath .The doctor had a word with the hospital staff and admitted the patient. Next day instead of visiting the patient himself he has sent his team member to diagnose the patient. Two consecutive days the same situation prevailed and my husband’s condition did not improve. On the 2 nd day on calling the doctor over phone the doctor narrates that he is in Europe and will be coming the day after to check the patient. The team members of the doctor did not inform of such a fraud scenario to the patient family while admitting the patient. The Manipal hospital the broadway unit , also was reluctant to inform the patient party regarding the unavailability of Dr Debraj Josh under whom the patient is admitted. My husband’s condition worsen due to hospital and doctor negligence.

The doctor himself is undoubtedly exceptional, ranking among the finest pulmonologists in the city. However, my experiences with his physician assistants have been consistently disappointing. On two separate occasions, once at Apollo and again at Medica, I encountered significant delays despite having appointments scheduled around noon. On both visits, my mother's name was situated mid-queue, yet we found ourselves waiting until late evening to see the doctor at Apollo and until 7 p.m. today. It became evident that the PA team was responsible for mismanagement, as we consistently found ourselves relegated to the end of the line despite arriving mid-queue. While the purported queue system ostensibly prioritizes based on billing timing, it's clear that other factors, including doctor and PA recommendations, play a significant role. Despite my inquiries, the PAs provided no satisfactory explanation, choosing instead to brush off my concerns. The lack of transparency was frustrating, compounded by the realization that the PA team's decisions dictated patients' wait times. Consisting of two young men and a woman, the PA team's inefficiency significantly disrupts patients' schedules, making it difficult to predict when one's turn will come. Regrettably, I can only assign one star, solely for the doctor's PA team. It's imperative that the hospital addresses these issues promptly to ensure a smoother and more equitable patient experience. And one more thing ! The doctor told us to do two tests immediately and report him. He said he will be waiting. We did the tests and rushed to him and he is gone !!! His assistants said no issues!! Come another day and show reports !!!! 🤣🤣

Dr. Debraj Jash should be behind bars as he doesn't see his patients as humans but rather as experiments. He did one such of his treatments on my grandfather last year November and we lost him in April. He isn't even ashamed of his deeds and continues to practice and destroy lives. Burn in hell doctor, regards! 🙏🏽

Doctors are treated like God in India and maybe that's why Doctors are getting God Complex nowadays. If you know that you start your daybat Salt Lake Manipal Hospital at 10 AM but don't see any patient till 12:30, then it is an information worth going into the public domain and available with all booking centers. You are a critical care doctor and people visit with parents, elderly relatives who are well above 70 and 80 years of age. Wrong and inaccurate information leads to lack of preparation and waiting time of 4 hours. I acknowledge that the waiting time is a result of queue of patients and the time it takes to examine each patient carefully, which is a good trait in doctors. But building a God Complex and enjoying the fact that people are waiting and not giving prior information for us to prepare our elderly (water, lunch, rest, mental preparation of waiting, toilet, etc) is completely against the noble profession. If you want to play God, well remember you are a God who needs patient's money and not just blessings to eat and stay alive.

Very arrogant doctor, my friend’s father died due to his wrong diagnosis. Due to his negligence my friend lost his father. After the patient’s demise he was not even interested to meet the patient family, he responded like I am not suppose to meet you. Even after requesting multiple times he was not willing to meet even though he was present in hospital on that time. Very rude and arrogant behavior.

Very unprofessional doctor. Doesn't have the basic sense of listening to the patients history or the patients family. He only knows his career and lust for money. Secondly , the entire team of bronchoscopy is nonsense and rude. Doesn't know how to talk to patients family. Specially Kakoli and Aparna.

Absolutely nonsense doctor. He only knows symptomatic treatment. He nevers listens to patients medical history , never listens to what the patients family has to say. His entire team of broncho team from Kakoli to Dr aparna in the broncho department is rubbish and very unprofessional. The entire apollo kolkata has become very unprofessional and buisness minded. Don't go for apollo kolkata. More importantly don't do for this doctor and his team.

I have no complaints for the doctor, but all his PAs are extremely corrupt. To visit this doctor you have to bill at 8 am and doctor will see you at 2 pm. They say that the patients queue is based on bill timing, but actually its not. There are doctor's recommendation, PA recommendation and many more other hidden queues. I was in hospital from 7 am in the morning. My billing was done at 8:14 am and I was the first person in the billing counter. But when doctor came my name was at number 6. I asked multiple times why so, they didn't have any answer and kept ignoring my question. Apollo needs to do something to eradicate such corrupt people.

Dr. Debraj Jash is one of the arrogant doctor cum business man I have ever come across. I have visited to him in name of Apollo wondering that he must be a good doctor with the better medical knowledge but its totally wrong. I told him that i am allergic to some of the medicines so pls prescribe me medicines by thinking twice. But he was not at all attentive to my words and problems. Also i asked him thrice that the medicine which you are prescribing should not be allergic reactions composition but he answered me very casually and rudely that dont ask questions just listen to me and take these prescribed medicines. As a result after taking first dose of medicine only i got severe reaction while driving at that time anything could have happen to me. My colleague was with me that time who handled my situation by running out nearest medical shop. Later on at night when i called him for my medical conditions and doubts over his prescribed medicines, he totally turned off in an agigated and rude manner with me. A total NO for this doctor.

He is a doctor who only runs after money. Never consult him for critical treatment he will make situations more critical and take the patient to icu, thats the trick..... my grandfather was absolutely fine but forcefully he has put him under ventilation without our concent.

One of the worst doctors in Kolkata . On December 2023 my patient was admitted and he charged extra during his consultation. In short he gave fake attendance so that the billing amount can touch his expectation. After noticing this , we moved to Mr. Bhatia who is the head of all doctors and he helped us to reduce/adjust the bill. There are many patients who may not notice this small cheat but unless the apollo hospital authority takes action , this will continue and loot many pockets . I highly recommend people to not consult this doctor and even if you do , please check your bill properly.

He is one of the most worst doctors in the world to have come across. He treated my brother Dr Rajendra Prasad for trachea obstruction with no results. He is simply a big liar and his whole team is completely MONEY MINDED with no experience. My brother's case was worsened by him by putting him in ECHMO MACHINE. He very well knew that he is a sugar patient and kept him in the MACHINE for 4days continuously. Because of this he got pneumonia in his lungs 🫁. They could have done tracheostomy but to our disappointment They didn't. They wanted to make more MONEY through the ECHMO MACHINE which costs nearly 4lacs per day. Beware of such greedy doctors in the near future and Calcutta is certainly not a place for treatment.

He didn't even deserve a single star, I took my father to him regarding lungs infection, he guided us wrongly that my father need a open hurt surgery and he was going to refer to a cardiothoracic surgeon for that, even in the first meeting he didn't ask about the problem, he was asking that do we have any mediclaim or not ? And he also told us after seen the USG and X-ray report that he will happy if my father was suffer from cancer because lungs infection is spreaded very dangerously. So we decided to go to CMC Vellore and we checked my father there and the doctor said that he don't need any kind of surgery, they gave us medicine and now my father is fit and fine. This Apollo doctor is just try to making money that's it, they don't even know how to treat the patient, his behaviour was really good but they were trying to take the patient to OT anyhow, that's there motive and they also put 2-3 gentleman out of his chamber in Apollo to guide us, this is totally fake and we weren't happy about his treatment. Very bad experience and very dangerous. I request whoever seen my reviews kindly go through it thoroughly and then take your decision, it's a gentle reminder and it's a request not to waste your money, time and specially your patient's life unnecessarily.
