My father underwent successful implantation of pacemaker recently by Dr Soumen. I would like to mention he is one of those few doctors who puts the patient at ease and ensures he/she is comfortable throughout the procedure. He briefed everything before the procedure to the patient and family. At present my father is not getting the issues as earlier before the implantation. Dr. Soumen Devidutta is an expert in dealing with the electrical system of the heart - "electrocardiologist". My dad suddenly collapsed while playing tennis and was admitted to Apollo (Jubilee Hills) with no pulse. Thankfully, he immediately received CPR from a doctor who was playing on another court, and was revived at the hospital with an electrical shock. The brain is acutely sensitive to a lack of oxygen - he regained consciousness after two days in a coma. After being stabilized, Dr. Devidutta examined his ECG, and correctly diagnosed that my dad is susceptible to arrhythmia, which can progress to a cardiac arrest (which led to his collapse). He explained that the cause of the arrhythmia is likely due to a scar left behind by a heart attack two years prior. Dr. Devidutta recommended the installation of an implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD), which will shock the heart in case an arrest is imminent, thus preventing future episodes. Dr. Devidutta is highly competent and most importantly, highly empathetic. He has responded patiently to every single one of my queries and is very approachable, even to the extent of being available on WhatsApp. We are fortunate to have his expertise available to us, which has made an immeasurable improvement in my dad's quality of life - without an ICD, we would constantly be worried about when an arrest might occur again.

Dr Soumen is the best cardiologist I have ever experienced. My wife had several cardiac failures and we contacted him. He implanted CRT-D for my wife. He has the perfect hand in Pacing and we owe him and the respect he gives is just like that of a family member. Besides he is very friendly and patiently hears the problems related to the patient. Dr Soumen performed surgery to upgrade my mother-in-law's Pacemaker to ICD last week (in the fourth week of January 2025). He was very cordial and explained vividly in simple terms on the advantages of how the upgraded device works vis-a-vis the old device. Further, he was very punctual in his commitments and provided care to my mother-in-law with a quality of sensitivity that I see as unparalleled. I am suffering from loosing concious and fell down unexpectedly. Fortunately this was happened when i am in house. Luckly i escaped from serious injuries as this was occured in my house. If at all this was recurred outside i lost my life. Immediately i approached one of the best neuro doctor n after conduct several related tests they finally diagnosise that beating of heart was stopped for few seconds on one or two occazions and luckly it was restarted in my case n recd. For pacemaker immediately without delay. Since i had already underwent cab n stenting in apollio jubilihills under guidance of Dr. Gokble he was refer my case to Dr. Soumen n when i met he explained my case in detail n need to implant maker. He simultaneouly conducted angio n implant of pace maker for spending morethan five hours in thd the theatre by saying brave words and successfully finished his job n accompanied me upto icu room. Surprisingly he is pursuing my condition during night also. He is taking all possible steps to recover in good n specifically i mention that he pdrsonally changing dresding to wound duly explaining the process to the trainee nurses. I never seen such type of doctor to care a patient treating one of his family member. Further when i call to clear certain useless points also he patiently answsred which shows his gfeatness. I strongly recommends whosoever to approach for treatment to their ailments without fear. Ta. Once again to doctor.

I have recently had a procedure of my father done by Dr. Soumen Devidutta related to heart. I am very impressed by the way he handled my case. Right from explaining the procedure when I initially got the diagnosis done till the procedure is completed, I and my family is very impressed by the way he has explained everything.

The doctor is excellent with prognosis. He detected and performed angioplasty on my father in less than 12 hours of angiography. My father showed no symptoms of artery blockage and he was saved by Dr. Devidutta ‘s grace. I trust him blindly!!

Worst doctor. VERY ARROGANT AND RUDE. No talking sense. Without seeing reports he falsified his fellow doctor's report. Total time waste to go to this doctor.
