Dr Maya is one of the Best Doctors that I have ever seen. We can’t explain her in a simple word … More than an experienced Gastro doctor she is very empathetic towards her patients , understanding their concerns and helping to resolve their problems too . I consulted her for my son when she was working at PVS Hospital. My son was only 2 years old at the time. Initially, we consulted another doctor and were deeply disappointed. A friend referred us to Dr. Maya, and the way she treated my son was truly commendable. Even after 10 years, I still remember her care and dedication. I have known Dr. Maya for more than 5 years as my son's pediatric gastroenterologist. She started treating my boy when he was an 8 year old with intestinal blockage. With her treatment my son was saved from.major surgery and recovered well. He has multiple bouts all of which were reigned in by her. From a weak and sick boy my son has grown to be a strong and healthy teenager with an appetite for all types of food. I have only Dr. Maya to thank for it. Treating sick children is not easy. But Dr. Maya manages it extremely well. Her gentle manner hides a tough demeanor that focuses on her patient's well being above all. After multiple traumatic experiences from several other physicians my boy came to trust and love Dr. Maya. She does not prescribe any unnecessary medications and tries her best to let proper diet and healthy habits do the job. She understands children and is able to manage all the tests and procedures in such a way as to minimize the pain and difficulty. Moreover, she inspire such confidence in their little minds. I have nothing but praise from my years of experience with her and I can confidently recommend her to any one.

Me and my father are very grateful for Dr. Maya's guidance. My father had severe gastric issues where other doctors said surgery was the only solution. They even said it might be cancer. But only after consulting Dr. Maya we were able to know the real reason behind my father's condition which was high eosinophils.Due to her diagnosis methods and treatment we were able to avoid surgery. Dr. Maya and her team were able to tackle my father's Hecto Cellular Carcinoma soon after we started consulting her. The early diagnosis was delayed since we were consulting a hospital near my hometown. We got all her support and the best treatment ever after. I suffered from fissure for almost a year before I met Dr. Maya Peethambaran. I had consulted two other doctors before seeing her. I remember feeling sad and desperate when I met her. She patiently listened to all my problems and prescribed me medicines. Her warm and positive approach gave me confidence instantly. Later on, after taking medicines prescribed by her, I got cured of my fissure. The best thing about Dr. Maya is that she is friendly and very patient. She genuinely cares for her patients.

She's very polite & knowledgeable. As a doctor, I believe Dr. Maya is one of the best Gastroenterologists in this state. The staff at her clinic are soft-spoken & helpful. If you have to choose a Gastroenterologist, choose her...

Very much disappointed with her approach . She is not listening just wanted to perform test . I explained my issue of indigestion, reflux , etc . Also mentioned the day before had food very late so I'm afraid to do endoscopy in morning . But she forced me saying its just matter of 2 mins nothing to worry . Truly saying I wasn't ready and highly worried, doing endoscopy that too first time . Still she insisted and wen I laid down I told her I'm nervous I may puke she went on saying don't worry, nothing gonna happen. Nurse sprayed oral anaesthesia but I wasn't feeling numb , sprayed again and doc came and started the procedure as the pipe entered my throat I hold her hand indicated her I'm not comfortable , feeling to vomit but she unheard inserted pipe soon I started to vomit and doc started to shout saying too much food, too much food . I clearly mentioned by indigestion problem and day before night late dinner . Still she blamed me for vomiting and report was unclear as the pipe reached top of stomach only ... also she insisted to perform various blood test which was already done a month ago from another hospital. Later then never visited lakeshore . Never gonna suggest this doctor .

Dr Maya's attitude is not good at all. She behaves rude as if she knows everything and underestimate others. She doesn't encourage to clear patients doubts. she should have more empathy towards patients and those accompanying them. I don't recommend her, she is pathetic.

I had to spend around 10k for endoscopy, ultrasound scan, blood test, liver functioning test, and whatnot, just to diagnose indigestion and gastric problems. Even after that, it didn't get cured. Then I had to consult another doctor, and it seems like I only have hypochlorhydria that can be cured with apple seed vinegar.

Most irresponsible doctor I have met. God save her patients
