I was referred to Dr. Prakash by a friend of mine for a total proctocolectomy procedure and when I met him first with a million question in mind, totally confused and scared, he explained to me the full procedure in a few sentences and with a sketch on a piece of paper in a calm voice and peace on his face.
It really made me feel comfortable and created trust and confidence in him. By the grace of God and the skills of Dr. Prakash and his team I underwent the surgery and now after an year I am almost completely back to normal life.
I would say that he is one of the best surgeons and the works of his hands are blessed by God.

Many hospitals were not ready to perform Pancreas whipple surgery on my brother due to the complication. Finally, we consulted Dr. Prakash at Aster Medcity, Kochi. He gave us confidence and performed Whipple surgery + PV dissection with utmost perfection. No words to thank him. Highly recommended.

WORST EXPERIENCE !!
It all happened on October 31st, 2023. My father was a patient of Dr. Prakash and was admitted to Aster Medicity on October 27th. He had an intestinal obstruction and was due to be discharged on November 1st. On the evening of October 31st, since my father had hiccups and vomiting tendencies, the doctor prescribed BACLOFEN (tab) and PERINORM injections together. To our surprise, he fell asleep for 19 hours and woke up with memory loss and difficulty walking.
We inquired about it, but they simply ignored us. It was my sister and I who discovered the problem. Initially, they were hesitant to accept it, but later, realizing their mistake, they rushed my father to the ICU. However, they attributed it to low sodium levels, not the medication error.
During his admission, routine blood tests were conducted every morning. From October 27th to 30th, my father's sodium levels ranged from 130 to 131, which they considered normal. But to conceal their mistake, they claimed that the low sodium levels caused his prolonged sleep!
Readers, please be aware that after their fabricated story about sodium levels, my father was shifted back to his room, and they claimed his sodium levels were normal. However, he still struggled with recognition, addressing me as his 'sister' instead of his child.
Due to the negligence of certain doctors who were unaware of the medications they prescribed, my father was kept in the hospital for an extra week. At the time of discharge, they offered us a discount of 10,000 rupees. The discharge summary stated, '...a patient who had intestinal obstruction was treated and suddenly became unconscious.' I had to fight to get this corrected, but they wrote a summary that favored their side, using vague language.
Later, after consulting another doctor, we discovered that the combined administration of Baclofen and Perinorm had led to a condition called encephalopathy.
Even now, my father struggles with walking, sensing bowel movements, and memory loss. These are the alarming consequences of the negligence we experienced at this 'prestigious hospital'.
